Original Antique Dutch Model 1873 Hemburg Army Revolver in 9.4mm – Serial 12429 Original Items

Original Item: Only One Available. These are very unusual to find especially in any sort of select condition as this one is. First issued in 1873, this Model saw much service in the Dutch East Indies as a very reliable black powder revolver. The early examples were fitted with octagonal barrels as our one has but these were later changed to round barrels for ease of manufacture.

Our Example is certainly superior, with a very attractive blued finish. It also features a Crown / W cartouche on the wood bag grips, as well as other markings. The “W” marking would be for William III, King of the Netherlands from 1849 to 1890. Finish is lovely and has a low 5 figure serial number of 12429. This number is found on the inside of both grips, the grip frame, the barrel, the rear of the cylinder, and the trigger. Certainly an “all-matching” revolver that has not been messed with.

The bore shows light use, and is mostly bright, with clear rifling. Action on the gun is solid and crisp, and the loading gate and cylinder removal system all work correctly.

Not easy to research for these are are very uncommon here in the U.S.. Ready to display!
