Original Item: Only One Available. This is a truly lovely example of a 19th century European style powder flask. It is probably British made, but does not have any maker marks except for IMPROVED PATENT on the flat near the spout. This was possibly made for the European market.
It is beautifully embossed with Oak leaves, Stands of Arms and a BOAR’S HEAD on either side. Measuring just 7 1/2″ in length, its only detraction is the absence of its circular catch spring that tensions the powder catch when serving the gun powder.
A very attractive example dating probably to the 1820’s to the 1860’s. Ready to display.
