Original item: Only One Available. This is really Special. This lovely Flintlock Pistol that dates to 1800 to 1820 originates from the Ottoman Empire that today we refer to as Turkey although at that time the Empire embraced much of Eastern Europe, the Middle East and across Northern Africa. This pistol, that clearly belonged to someone of importance, has a wood stock which is entirely covered in heavily worked embossed Silver sheeting. The wrist is wrapped with brass and silver wire. The iron parts of the barrel and the lock are also inlaid with Gold inlays. There is a bit of the sheeting missing near the muzzle, but it does not detract from the overall effect.
It is just possible that the SILVER BUTT CAP is of European Origin or made to appear so, as it has a Grotesque Mask or the butt pommel, a very European trait. This is truly magnificent and a joy to see.
