Original Item: Only One Available. Fantastic Belgian manufactured Brevete copy of a Colt 1851 Navy, barrel stamped, now faint, that reads; “ADDRESS COL. SAM’l COLT NEW YORK”. The Navy is .36 caliber percussion with a 7 1/2” barrel. Refinished with nickel plating and attractive single line engraving throughout. The revolver shows Belgian proofs on barrel and cylinder as well as Liege ELG stamp. The left side of the frame is marked Colt’s Patent and .36 CAL (faint) on left side of trigger guard. The grips are good to very good with some small nicks. The cylinder, barrel, frame, trigger guard, and butt strap are all matching serial number 199717. Barrel wedge is over sized. Barrel frame connection is very tight, crisp action, correctly indexes and functions well. While it holds at half cock it does lock at half cock. Bore rates Overall a very appealing side arm from the mid 19th century, manufactured by some of the best gun makers in the world for the European or even the Confederate Untied States market.
