Original Item: One of a Kind. Here is a small but substantial wooden keg measuring almost 10″ in height and about 6 1/4″ across its widest point at the midsection. It is bound with iron hoops, and has a brass tag stamped GUN DECK on the hoop around the mouth. Open topped as lid is now absent. A brass Georgian Coat of arms or Royal cypher made from brass has been added to its side once it was sold out of service. This contained the very finest priming gun powder essential for accurate and efficient Cannon Fire. Dating to 1790 – 1810, this small keg really is charming.
