Original Item: One Set of 5 Available. We just received these out of an old collection, untouched for years. As with any collection, there were some items that stood out, and others that were purchased as “projects”, either due to condition, or because they were in want of a scabbard. All of these are original items, in varying condition, all offered without their original correct scabbards.
This set consists of:
– One Original German-made M1908 Brazilian Mauser bayonet with Scabbard by SIMSON & CO. of SUHL. The Mauser Rifle system was exported far and wide, each with subtle differences, so they needed different bayonets. It has an 11 3/4″ blade and an overall length of 17″.
– One Original German-made M1871/84 Argentine Police Mauser bayonet with Scabbard by WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & CO of SOLINGEN. The Mauser Rifle system was exported far and wide, each with subtle differences, so they needed different bayonets. These unmarked bayonets are believed used by the Policía de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (Buenos Aires Provincial Police). It has an 10″ blade with an overall length of 15″.
– One Original WWII Era Mexican Artillery Commando Fighting Knife. It is marked on the ricasso FUNDICION DE ARTELLERIA / MEXICO, and has a 6 3/4″ blade an overall length of 11 inches. The blade is definitely modeled after the U.S. KA-BAR Bowie style, while the grip is similar to Italian knives of the era.
– One Replica Zulu “Iklwa” spear, rather crudely made and wrapped with furred hide. The spear tip measures10 1/2″, with the spear having an overall length of 39″.
– One Replica Zulu / African spear head, with a 11 1/4″ blade and 8 1/2″ socket.
– One Replica Zulu / African triple spear head, with 4 1/4″ blades and an 8″ socket. Overall length is 15 1/2″.
This is a great chance to pick up some classic looking edged weapons at a very attractive price. Ready to add to your collection, or maybe to help you start one!
