New Made Item: Manufactured in the 1980’s, a single crate has been found in the back of our warehouse! These are replacement Scabbards made for Japanese WW2 Military issue Swords. Each Scabbard is constructed of steel with decorated brass mounts, throat, toe, a lower decorated brass scabbard band and a second “double” band near the throat which supports the sword hanging ring. The Scabbard is slightly curved, as were all Japanese Military Swords of the period. Originally these scabbards had wood liners, which may or may not be completely present, but these are ideal for Japanese Sword Restoration and decoration, as they should fit right into any WW2 Collection.
Showing 20-25 years of storage wear, they look as if they could have come from WW2. Overall length: 30″. Very few available.
Leather Combat Cover (pictured) sold separately, sword is not available at this time.
GRADE 2- THE VERY LAST OF WHAT WE HAVE ARE DENTED AND SCUFFED. NOT IN AS GOOD CONDITION AS WHAT IS PHOTOGRAPHED!
