Original Item: Only One Lot of 2 Available. These are very nice German WWII Heer Army issued black pebble-grain leather triple Patronentaschen (ammunition pouch), designed to hold stripper clips for the Mauser k98K rifle. This was the standard German infantry rifle throughout WWII for all forces. These pouches would be attached to the waist belt, and would be attached to combat suspenders using the rings on the back. Each pocket holds two stripper clips of 5 rounds, so each pouch holds 6 clips, or 30 rounds.
The pouches are in very good lightly used condition, and do not have any major stitching or leather issues. The leather does show some minor wear to the texture, which could be from either service or storage. The internal separators are still present in one of the pouches, and all of the later war pattern steel rivets and snaps are sound. Each pouch is fitted with a “D” ring on the back, and steel rivet studs on the bottom. The steel components look to have been painted or plated with zinc or aluminum to prevent corrosion, which is still retained to a good degree. The backs of both pouches are maker marked KURT SEIDEL / BERLIN in the center, though these markings can be hard to see due to the pebble grain texture.
This is a great chance to pick up a lovely matching set of k98K triple ammo pouches! Ready to display with your 98K rifle!
