Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent condition German WWII Luftwaffe Kopfhaube (Helmet/Hood), model K33. These flight helmets usually intended for the flight crews of bombers, as they did not have any communications equipment. However they were able to use the goggles and could mount a mask, so they were sometimes used by pilots as well when supplies were low. This winter helmet is made of gray leather, with a very nice shearling leather lining, which has a chamois backed forehead area and neck straps.
The helmet is in excellent condition, and does not appear to have seen much service, if it saw any at all. There are no missing parts, and all snaps and buckles are intact and fully functional. It still has the original manufacturers tag on the interior rear, marked with RFNr. 0/0750/0030 and size 58. There is also an L.B.A. stamp on the chin strap for Luftwaffebekleidungsamt, which means Air Force Clothing Office. There are some additional letters or numbers next to this, but they are not legible.
This is a great chance to pick up a German Winter Flight helmet in great shape. Ready to display, or even wear!
