Original Item: Only One Available. Originally designed and used by German Stormtroopers in the trenches of WW1, these grenade bags were often seen around the necks of German Paratroopers in WW2 as they operated behind enemy lines and far from a resupply. Just like the Allied paratroopers, they needed as much extra ammunition as they could carry.
There is no way of knowing these were used by German paratroopers, but it is a possibility! These are very rare pouches designed for carrying Rifle grenades or possibly M24 and M43 stick grenades. Constructed of ordnance blue/grey canvas, one bag is nicely maker marked bdq for Ehrhardt u. Kirsten, Koffer- u. Lederwarenfabrik, Leipzig and dated 1942. The bags each measure 16″ x 10″. They are connected with a web strap that is stitched to each bag.
These are a hard to find German WW2 accessory and are offered in great condition. Comes ready for display!
