Original Item: Only One Available. This is a lovely WWII German Luftwaffe Summer Flyers Suit (Fliegerschutzanzug für Sommer). It is a one piece, coverall style summer flight suit constructed in slightly mottled, white flecked, tan cotton with leather and metal fittings. All buttons, snaps and zippers are complete and in very good to excellent condition. The snaps on the suit are marked PRYM 6H. All zippers function and are all marked by maker Elite, and retain their leather pull tabs (one zipper missing tab). This is a known maker of zippers for the Luftwaffe during the war.
Unlike many we see, this example still has a fully intact and legible makers tag on the inside of the main closure, which reads:
Bekleidungsfabrik Habelf
CRAILSHEIM Wrttbg.
BAUJAHR 194 1 GRÖSSE: Ib
This indicates it was made in 1941, and “Clothing Factory Habelf” was a known maker of these flight suits, often called “Fliegerkombi”. The left chest “Quick open” closure has a small tag reading Karl Heisler / Berlin C 2 on the interior.
These coveralls were made to fit over regular uniforms. Overall excellent condition with minor wear and usage toning. There is no major wear, tearing, or other damage seen, so it looks to have seen only light use during the war.
A classic piece of Luftwaffe flight gear offered in great shape, with lots of research and display potential!
