Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice service worn WWII German Wehrmacht Luftwaffe (Air Force) EM (enlisted man) or NCO (Non-Commissioned Officer) Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß). It is embossed with the wartime Luftwaffe straight tail eagle on a pebbled central field, surrounded by a wreath. The buckle is of 1940 pattern, die stamped, steel construction, with a dark Luftwaffe blue grey painted finish, which is still present on more than 80% of the buckle.
The rear of the buckle is stamped with maker marking N & H 1942 by the clip loop, for 1942 manufacture by Noelle & Hueck of Lüdenscheid, Germany, a city with a large garment accessories industry. As this buckle was produced post 1941, it most likely did not have a leather tab on the back originally.
A very nice example of a typical Luftwaffe belt buckle that survived the war. Ready to display!
