Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht Luftwaffe EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß) with correct leather belt, and original WW2 manufacture triple pouches for the German k98k rifle. It is embossed with the wartime Luftwaffe straight tail eagle on a pebbled central field, surrounded by a wreath. The buckle is of 1940 pattern, die stamped, steel construction, with a dark blue/grey painted finish, which is still present on about 40% of the buckle, mostly on the reverse. The rest has worn off due to use. The buckle is maker stamped and dated on the leather tab:
H. AURICH
DRESDEN
1942
The belt itself measures 43” when fully extended, and is marked with size 115 in centimeters. The leather is somewhat worn and has some cracks from age and use. The black finish on the outside of the belt is mostly present, however it is also cracked/checked due to age. The belt was quite dry when received, so neatsfoot oil was applied to preserve it.
The two black pebble-grain leather pouches included are in good used condition, and do not have any major stitching or leather issues. The finish is somewhat worn, and they definitely show age, but they are in solid condition. The internal separators are still present, and all of the rivets and snaps are sound. There is some rust to the fittings on the back, due to age. One is marked and dated on the back:
RAHM & KAMPMANN
1943
KAISERSLAUTERN
The other pouch is marked with a Reichsbetriebsnummer number code, but due to the pebble grain, we are not able to make out the code. It looks to be marked RB Nr. 0/0485/0002, but we cannot be sure.
This is a great chance to get an original WW2 complete Luftwaffe belt set, marked and dated in great shape for the age.
