Original Item: This is a very fine 1936 dated 27mm Model 34 German WW2 Walther flare pistol known as The Mod. 34 Leuchtpistole or LP34. This example has 90% of its original bluing, with a superb steel frame and early alloy barrel. It has multiple early eagle waffent amts and U & S inspector marks indicate this is an early manufactured gun that bears the serial number 5179 on BOTH the frame and the barrel. The checkered brown bakelite grips are in perfect superb condition. The frame is marked Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella-Mehlis (Thür) for Thüringenn 1936. It appears fully functional with a nice sharp original firing pin and almost pristine bore. This is truly one of the finest conditioned LP34s weve every seen.
The original holster is in very solid condition with obvious wear typical of a WWII leather holster. It is nicely marked CARL BUSSE, MAINZ, 1937 with a clear WaA286 inspection stamp. The only deficiency is a broken cleaning rod tie down strap, however, we have included a reproduction cleaning rod to complete this simply superb set.
