Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good condition rubberized life vest with an original air cylinder. The vest is mostly complete, and still retains the securing strap, though some of the compartment plugs are missing, and the mouthpiece on the manual inflation tube has broken off. It is marked on the rear securing strap:
ABL x 42.A
The vest features a semi-circular neck cut-out with a central, forward “V” slash, a full front panel, a large semi-circular neck and shoulder panel and an opened back and sides. The front panel features two, large, vertically oval, air bladders while the neck and shoulder panel has a single, large air bladder. All three of the air bladders have a small, opened port with an inserted, molded, black bakelite stopper.
The pressurized canister is marked Preßluft 150 atü, (Compressed Air 150). The vest is in great shape overall without any serious flaws. Some of the metal fittings are oxidized as shown. The rubber tube in the middle has broken off as shown. Comes ready for further research and display!
