Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very rare piece of German WWII Kriegsmarine optical equipment: A sight for the 2cm Flak (Flugabwehrkanon) Anti-Aircraft guns mounted on German U-boats! These very heavy duty optics were originally water tight, so they did not need to be removed before emergency dives. They could withstand up to 30 atmospheres at a depth of 300 meters. They are marked with the specifications and maker information on the rear right:
DZC/2
4×15°
bmk
132766
Maker code bmk stands for the maker Srb & Stys Fabrik Präziser Messinstrumente (Factory of precise measuring instruments”), located in occupied Prague, Czechoslovakia. The left side is marked with the correct EAGLE / M IV Kriegsmarine inspection stamp. The optics are still very clear, and look to have their original coating. The sun filter, engaged with the lever in the center T position, is still present and functional. Even better, the original rubber eyepiece is still present and still relatively soft! It has the correct drainage holes that would allow water to get out quickly, and the eyepiece still flips down correctly.
A very nice set of Rare Kriegsmarine U-boat optics, ready to add to your collection!
