Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is a very nice collection of German WWII Insignia and awards, which was brought back from the European theater by a USGI after the war was concluded.
This lovely set includes:
– One German WWII Luftwaffe Embroidered Cloth Flugzeugführerabzeichen (Pilot’s Badge) with a Silver wreath. In service worn condition, this looks to have been removed from a uniform, and has a fantastic aged look!
– One German WWII Era Wasserschutzpolizei (Water Protection Police) BeVo Embroidered Insignia. Virtually identical to the standard Civic police Insignia, except that it has gold yellow thread on a navy blue backing, the color used by the Kriegsmarine and Water Protection Police.
– One German WWII Heer Army Sports Shirt Eagle Insignia for M35 Sport Shirt. It is unissued, and is still on the original rectangular backing.
– One German WWII Small NSDAP Oilcloth Pennant. In service used condition, these were distributed widely in Germany during the NSDAP period so they could be flown in as many areas as possible.
– FOUR German WWII Shooting Award Ehrenscheibe Honor Discs from Hanau, Germany. These discs were used during shooting competitions, and were used to note how far the soldier had shot from (geschossen vom). These are identical and regimentally marked with 3. / Eis. =Pi. =Ers. =Btl. 3, which we believe would be 3rd company, Railroad Pioneer Replacement Battalion No. 3.
A fantastic set with some great display and research potential!
